About Us
OneBio is a venture capital firm and venture studio investing in founders building companies that, if successful, will improve human, animal, and planetary health. We work closely with founders investing in pre-seed and seed stages of development.
OneBio was founded in 2018 by Michael Fichardt and Dr. Nick Walker. Inspired by the power of biology to make the world a better place and a strongly held belief that Africa has the scientific and entrepreneurial talent to build biotech companies competitive on the world stage.
Michael passed away in January 2022 but will be remembered fondly as an important catalyst in South Africa’s emerging biotech sector.
